Below is the video to kick off the launch with your emcee, comedian Rhys Darby, who cuts a ribbon to officially launch the new Bonnaroo365 YouTube channel. They want you to subscribe so you don’t miss a thing. Click here to subscribe. Your first treat in the Bonnaroo365 is My Morning Jacket’s 2011 performance at Bonnaroo. We were extremely lucky to catch that set live and pleased that Bonnaroo has decided to upload the set. TAKE NOTE, THE VIDEO EXPIRES ON MAY 15TH! Catch it below the launch video, before it’s gone!

NOW STREAM THIS! New Multitudes

March 2, 2012 in New Video Release, News You Can Use, Now Stream This!

Here’s a great opportunity to check out New Multitudes, a new project featuring Jim James (My Morning Jacket, Yim Yames, Monsters of Folk), Jay Farrar (Son Volt, Uncle Tupelo, Gob Iron), Will Johnson (South San Gabriel, Centro-Matic), and Andes Parker (Gob Iron, Varnaline). New Multitudes recorded the album using lyrics from Woodie Guthrie that he did not get the opportunity to use while alive.

Per the press release: Under the invitation of Nora Guthrie, Woody’s daughter, to tour the Guthrie archives, each of the four songwriters were offered the chance to plumb and mine the plethora of notebooks, scratch pads, napkins, etc. for anything that might inspire them to lend their voices and give the words new life. “These guys worked on an amazing group of lyrics, much of it culled from Woody’s times in LA. Lyric wise, it’s a part of the story that is still mostly unknown. From Woody’s experiences on LA’s skid row to his later years in Topanga Canyon, they are uniquely intimate, and relate two distinctly emotional periods in his life.”

The album will be released on March 6, 2012 (next Tuesday) via Rounder Records. You can listen to the entire entire 12 track album over here at TeamCoco.com and catch them on tour, see the dates below the stream. After that, check out the video for ‘Talking Empty Bed Blues’.

Tour Dates:
March 6 – The Fillmore – San Francisco, CA
March 7 – Music Box – Los Angeles, CA
March 9 – Crystal Ballroom – Portland, OR

VOYAGES OF RC! My Morning Jacket w/ Delta Spirit @Sunset Cove Amphitheater, Boca Raton, FL (12/10/11)

December 11, 2011 in Now Stream This!, Voyages of Rock Cousteau

The evening started out with a nice tailgate at the Sunset Cove Amphitheater parking lot, discussion ensued and of course, it was all about music. Most of the people who joined us for this voyage were a bit unfamiliar with the opening band, but we assured them that Delta Spirit was a band worth giving some attention, even if only for a few songs. While we weren’t familiar with their entire catalog, they put on a great set that included ‘Trashcan’, ‘Strange Vine’ and ‘Children’. Below are a few photos we captured from the performance.

Check out the video for ‘Children’ below to hear a nice live performance by Delta Spirit at Austin City Limits this past September.

This wouldn’t be our first rodeo with My Morning Jacket and after this last performance, it definitely would not be our last. We know that MMJ sold out at Madison Square Garden for three straight nights, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case at The Sunset Cove Amphitheater. Was it lack of promotion? Who knows, but it gave us an opportunity to have a really intimate performance by the band on an absolutely spectacular evening outdoors.

It is clear that Jim James is the consummate entertainer, giving the audience not only music to appreciate, but giving them a real live “show”. He creates an atmosphere of happiness that doesn’t quite escape your system until long after the show has ended. Each and every one of the songs were, without fail, performed brilliantly. And, we probably had goosebumps for most of the show.

Here’s a pretty good recording of their show at the Verizon Wireless Theater in Grand Prairie, TX on December 7, 2011. While the setlist in South Florida didn’t mirror that of the show in Texas, the same handful of songs were played. Below is the setlist for the performance at Sunset Cove, however, some of the information is inaccurate. As soon as we have the corrections, we’ll modify the setlist. We can’t stress enough how honored we were to have had the opportunity to see this band live another time.

In anticipation of releasing T Bone Burnett Presents the Speaking Clock Revue – Live from the Beacon Theatre on October 18 via Shout! Muppets: The Green Album

Muppets: The Green Album

If you were a child of the 70′s or 80′s, you knew about the Muppets, a precursor to present day shows like “Yo Gabba Gabba”, who showcased indie/alternative and other emerging rock music of it’s time. Now, some of our new favorite artists (OK Go, My Morning Jacket & Weezer to name a few) have collaborated to create The Green Album. Stream it at NPR’s First Listen.
