FESTIVALS! Forbidden Fruit – Kilmainham, Dublin, Ireland (June 2-4)

Who knew there was such an awesome festival taking place in just a month from now all the way in Dublin, Ireland? On June 2nd, 3rd and 4th (Banking Holiday), Bulmers and Pod will present the Forbidden Fruit festival on the Grounds of Royal Hospital. Feast your eyes upon the line-up and if you are anywhere near that part of the world, run, don’t walk to this festival. Notable artists in the line-up include: Beirut, Real Estate, Andrew Bird, Friendly Fires, Bear in Heaven, Wilco, Mazzy Star, New Order, Death Cab for Cutie, The Rapture, Atlas Sound, Austra, Lower Dens AND just added, Cloud Nothings. It’s no Coachella, but it’s littered with some great artists.  Tickets are available here.

In addition to the newly announced Southeast U.S. shows in support of their album, The Whole Love, Wilco has just released a fantastic Time Lapse photography video to ‘Misunderstood’ from Wilco’s December 2011 show at the Civic Opera House in Chicago, IL. Photography and editing was provided by Richie Wireman and recorded December 12, 2011 by Warner Swain. We saw this video shortly after it was recorded, but couldn’t present it to you until now. We heart Wilco.

Just on the heels of the Incredible Shrinking Tour of Chicago, alt-country rockers, Wilco, release a Popeye inspired video for their latest single, ‘Dawned on Me’ off their latest effort, The Whole Love. This is a video we really appreciate and are extremely proud to share. Wilco‘s frontman, Jeff Tweedy is fortunate to have his son, Spencer, direct his latest music video for ‘Whole Love’. The video features younger brother, Sammy, and their friends, Joey and Tavi. Hats off to Spencer Tweedy for this creative endeavor! Hey dad, the song’s not too shabby either.

Before Wilco, Nick Lowe & Mavis Staples took the stage on December 12th at the Chicago Civic Opera House, they rehearsed their cover of ‘The Weight’ and we are fortunate that Zoran Orlic captured it on film. If you close your eyes, you can just imagine being in the room with them during this very intimate moment before taking the stage. Late Night Appearance & Concert by Wilco on Letterman
